Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they set out your rights and obligations. You must agree to them in full to book any of our services. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to booking.


1. About Explore Escapes

Explore Escapes Ltd is an independent travel agency offering a range of travel services, including flights, accommodation, cruises, tours, and holiday packages, sourced from third-party suppliers. We act solely as an agent between you (the client) and the supplier.


We are proud members of the Protected Trust Services (PTS) network, ensuring your holiday bookings are safeguarded with the highest level of consumer protection.


1.1 Financial Protection

All customer funds are held in an independent trust account and cannot be accessed by Explore Escapes Ltd until your holiday has been completed. In the unlikely event of insolvency, your money is protected, and a full refund or rebooking will be arranged.


2. Booking Process

In these Terms, and conditions refer to the lead name on the booking and all persons included in the booking.


By confirming a booking, the lead name confirms that:

  • They are over 18, reside in the UK, and have the authority to accept these terms on
  • behalf of all travellers.
  • All information provided is accurate.
  • They accept financial responsibility for the booking.
  • They consent to our Privacy Policy and use of data.


2.1 Reservations

A booking is confirmed only once a deposit is received and a booking confirmation is issued. Your booking is also subject to the terms of the Principal Supplier providing your package. Where the package includes a flight, an ATOL certificate will be issued on behalf of the ATOL-protected supplier.


2.2 Deposit and Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking (amount may vary).
  • The final balance must be paid by the due date provided.
  • Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation without refund.
  • Some elements (e.g. flights) may be non-refundable and non-changeable.


2.3 Pricing

  • All prices are subject to availability and change until confirmed.
  • Pricing is based on current exchange rates, taxes, and supplier costs.
  • Promotional offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.
  • Resort fees or tourist taxes may apply and are payable locally.


3. Cancellation and Amendments

3.1 Cancellations by You

  • Charges will apply based on the supplier’s policy.
  • Many bookings (flights, special rates) are non-refundable.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover cancellation costs.


3.2 Cancellations or Changes by the Supplier

If a supplier cancels or makes significant changes to your booking, you will be informed promptly. Refunds or alternatives will be offered in accordance with the supplier's policy.


3.3 Amendments

  • Amendments may incur a fee and are not always possible.
  • Ensure names match passports exactly.
  • Responsibility for errors lies with you unless the mistake is ours.
  • We will liaise with the lead traveller only.


4. Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.
  • Insurance must cover cancellation, medical expenses, lost belongings, and other risks relevant to your trip.


5. Passports, Visas & Health

5.1 Passports and Visas

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your passport is valid (minimum 6 months beyond your return date) and that you obtain the required visas.


5.2 Health Requirements

  • Ensure all vaccinations and health requirements for your destination are met. We are not responsible for denied entry due to non-compliance.


6. Responsibility and Liability

6.1 Third-Party Suppliers

  • We act solely as an agent and cannot be held liable for the performance or provision of services by third-party suppliers.


6.2 Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays, disruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or government actions.


6.3 Personal Responsibility

  • You are responsible for checking that all personal details are accurate at the time of booking.


7. Special Requests

  • All special requests (e.g. dietary requirements, room preferences) must be made at the time of booking. While we pass these on to suppliers, we cannot guarantee fulfilment.


8. Information Sharing & Data Protection

  • Only the data required to fulfil your booking will be shared with suppliers and relevant authorities (e.g. immigration, customs). By booking, you consent to this information being shared.
  • Please ensure all details are correct at the time of booking. Discrepancies may lead to amendment or cancellation fees, plus our admin fee of £35 per person.


9. Complaints

  • If a problem arises during your trip, report it immediately to the supplier or your local representative. If unresolved, please submit a formal complaint to info@exploreescapes.co.uk within 28 days of your return.


10. Privacy

We collect and store your personal data only for the purposes of managing your

booking. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy.


11. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays [in this brochure/on this website] are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
